Cupuaçu butter and organic beeswax lock in moisture and have healing and anti-inflammatory effects, while almond oil, rosehip oil, jojoba, and olive oil provide nutrients and vitamins. Lithospermum root extract acts as an antimicrobial and gives this balm its wonderful color.

Active Ingredients

• Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) – The high content of fatty acids makes the skin soft, supple, and resilient. The oil has antibacterial properties, absorbs quickly, and contains vitamins B, E, minerals, and beta-carotene (provitamin A). It strengthens cell development and renewal, fights skin aging, and strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier. Also very suitable for hair and scalp care. By the way, jojoba oil is technically not an oil but a plant wax.
• Cupuaçu Butter (Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter) - The cupuaçu tree is related to cocoa, as both belong to the Theobroma genus. Cupuaçu butter is intensely moisturizing and strengthens the skin barrier with oleic acid, palmitic acid, arachidic acid, and phytosterol. The high antioxidant content also helps fight free radicals. It has a soothing effect and is also very suitable for sensitive skin.
• Beeswax (Cera Flava, Cera Alba) – The wax forms a protective film on the skin and thus locks in moisture without clogging pores. Beeswax also has a mild antiseptic effect and can reduce inflammation. It soothes irritated skin and can even help with eczema. The vitamin A contained in the wax promotes cell renewal and thus counteracts premature skin aging.
• Olive Oil – provides moisture and creates a soft skin feel. It consists of 85% essential fatty acids with a high content of linoleic acid that supports the skin’s protective barrier. Vitamin E and polyphenols are powerful antioxidants that protect against premature skin aging.
• Rosehip Seed Oil, Wild Rose Oil (Rosa Canina Fruit Oil) - The oil from the fruits of the wild rose effectively supports skin regeneration. Rich in vitamin C, minerals, beta-carotene, flavonoids, and malic acid, it helps with pigmentation spots and scars, supports skin elasticity, and evens out skin tone. Also benefits flaky, mature, and dry skin.
• Lithospermum Root Extract (Lithospermum Erythrorizon Root Extract) has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, and soothing effects. The extract reduces redness, eczema, and itching.
• Essential Lavender Oil (Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) oil) has calming, cleansing, and antiseptic properties. The gentle oil consists of linalyl acetate and linalool and stimulates cell growth. The skin benefits from the improved blood circulation, and the antioxidants in lavender act as a natural anti-aging treatment. It has healing effects on inflamed skin and pimples.

• What skin type is Wonderbalm suitable for?

Wonderbalm is the perfect partner for dry, very dry, and sensitive skin. For dehydrated skin, make sure to apply enough moisture, ideally in the form of Floral Essence, under Wonderbalm. For normal and oily skin, Wonderbalm can be used spot-wise, for example as lip and eye care, highlighter, to tame eyebrows, and on all dry body areas.

• How much balm should I use?

Less is more! Wonderbalm contains no water and is therefore a pure nutrient concentrate for your skin. Use a maximum amount the size of a lentil if applying it to the entire face. Use less for spot treatment such as eye or lip care.

• Can Wonderbalm also be used as a cleanser?

Yes, Wonderbalm can also be used as a cleansing balm, ideally for oily, normal, or dry skin. Dehydrated skin benefits more from the cleansing cream.

We source our cupuaçu butter from a cooperative of indigenous farmers near Manaus in the Brazilian Amazon. It is grown and harvested sustainably and in permaculture there. This provides the farmers with a fair, regular income and they are not dependent on selling wood. Thus, every purchase of a Wonderbalm supports rainforest preservation, reforestation, and the local population.

Please store below 30°C. At very high temperatures, the balm may soften. To harden, simply place it in the refrigerator. The consistency of the balm does not affect its effectiveness.
