The Wonderbalm by The Glow is a rich intensive treatment for dry, very dry, and sensitive skin. The water-free formula forms a protective balm over the skin, replenishes its natural lipids, and helps reduce moisture loss. Dry, rough areas feel smoother and softer after application.

The solid texture melts on contact with the skin and is especially easy to spread over a still slightly damp face. Since the balm itself contains no water, it is ideally applied after an essence or hydrating serum. This helps the moisture applied beforehand remain in the skin for longer.

How to use

• As a facial treatment:
  After cleansing and applying a hydrating serum or toner, warm an amount no larger than a lentil between your fingertips. Then apply a thin layer to the still slightly damp face and, if needed, to the neck and décolleté.
• In combination with Floral Essence:
  Mix a few drops of Floral Essence with a small amount of Wonderbalm in the palm of your hand. This creates a freshly mixed, lighter emulsion that spreads particularly evenly.
• For individual dry areas:
  Apply a very small amount to the lips, cuticles, dry eye areas, or other rough spots. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.
• As a face mask or massage balm:
  Apply a slightly more generous amount to cleansed, slightly damp skin. For a facial massage, glide gently over the skin. Then remove excess balm with a warm, damp cloth or leave it on overnight.
• As a cleansing balm:
  Massage a small amount into dry skin to dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and oil-soluble residue. Then remove thoroughly with a warm, damp cleansing cloth. Since Wonderbalm does not emulsify with water, it should be removed completely.

Active ingredients

• Jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) – Its high fatty acid content leaves the skin soft, supple, and resilient. The oil has antibacterial properties, absorbs quickly, and contains vitamins B and E, minerals, and beta-carotene (provitamin A). It strengthens cell development and renewal, helps combat skin aging, and reinforces the skin’s natural protective barrier. It is also highly suitable for hair and scalp care. Incidentally, jojoba oil is technically not an oil but a plant wax.
• Cupuaçu butter (Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter) – The cupuaçu tree is related to the cacao tree, as both belong to the Theobroma genus. Cupuaçu butter is intensely hydrating and strengthens the skin barrier with oleic acid, palmitic acid, arachidic acid, and phytosterol. Its high antioxidant content also helps combat free radicals. It has a soothing effect and is also very suitable for sensitive skin.
• Beeswax (Cera Flava, Cera Alba) – The wax forms a protective film on the skin and thereby binds moisture without clogging the pores. Beeswax also has a mild antiseptic effect and can soothe inflammation. It calms irritated skin and may even help with eczema. The vitamin A contained in the wax promotes cell renewal and thus counteracts premature skin aging.
• Olive oil – hydrates and leaves the skin feeling soft. It consists of 85% essential fatty acids, with a high proportion of linoleic acid that supports the skin’s protective barrier. Vitamin E and polyphenols are powerful free-radical scavengers and protect against premature skin aging.
• Rosehip seed oil, wild rose oil (Rosa Canina Fruit Oil) – The oil from the fruit of the dog rose effectively supports skin regeneration. Rich in vitamin C, minerals, beta-carotene, flavonoids, and malic acid, it helps with pigmentation and scars, supports skin elasticity, and balances the skin tone. Flaky, mature, and dry skin also benefits from this oil.
• Stone-seed root extract (Lithospermum Erythrorizon Root Extract) has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, and soothing properties. The extract reduces redness, eczema, and itching.
• Essential lavender oil (Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) oil) has soothing, cleansing, and antiseptic properties. The gentle oil consists of linalyl acetate and linalool and has a stimulating effect on cell growth. The complexion benefits from the increased blood circulation, while the antioxidants in lavender act as a natural anti-aging treatment. It has a healing effect on inflamed skin and blemishes.

Does Wonderbalm hydrate the skin?
The balm contains no water and therefore does not add moisture to the skin in the strict sense. However, its plant oils, cupuaçu butter, and beeswax help retain existing or previously applied moisture in the skin for longer.

How much Wonderbalm do I need for my face?
An amount no larger than a lentil is sufficient for the entire face. Considerably less is enough for the lips, eye area, or individual dry spots. Too much balm can leave an unnecessarily heavy film.

How do I combine Wonderbalm with Floral Essence?
Apply Floral Essence to the cleansed face first, then spread Wonderbalm over the still slightly damp skin. The two products can also be mixed directly in the palm of your hand to create a light emulsion.

Can Wonderbalm be used as an eye and lip treatment?
Yes. A very small amount can be applied to the lips and carefully along the bony eye area. Avoid the direct lash line and the eyes themselves.

Can Wonderbalm be used as a cleansing balm?
Yes. The oil-rich formula dissolves makeup, sunscreen, and oil-soluble residue. Since the balm does not emulsify with water, it must then be thoroughly removed with a warm, damp cloth.

Is Wonderbalm vegan?
No. The formula contains beeswax from organic beekeepers. The remaining ingredients are plant-based.

Does Wonderbalm contain fragrance?
The formula contains lavender oil as well as the natural fragrance constituents linalool and geraniol. No synthetic perfume is included.

Can Wonderbalm be used for a facial massage?
Yes. The smooth, slow-absorbing texture is well suited to a gentle facial massage. On sensitive skin, apply only light pressure and avoid vigorous rubbing.

Why does the consistency change in warm temperatures?
Wonderbalm contains natural oils, butter, and beeswax, whose firmness depends on the ambient temperature. The balm may become softer in warm conditions. This does not change its skincare properties; to firm it up, it can be briefly placed in a cool location.
