It is well known that zinc ointments can have anti-inflammatory effects. But while pure zinc ointments are not intended as a daily skincare ritual, The Glow lets your complexion shine day after day with hydrating and anti-inflammatory ingredients. The effect behind your Glow was scientifically studied by This Place in 2021. In a laboratory study, an inflammatory reaction was induced on a model of human skin. This is a standard procedure in biochemical research to simulate, for example, the formation of pimples. The inflamed skin was then treated either with The Glow or with a placebo cream. Analysis of the inflammation markers showed how strong the inflammatory response was in each case. The result: The Glow was able to inhibit the formation of key inflammation markers by up to 98%!

Application

• The most important thing first: No clean skin – no Glow!
• Always apply The Glow with clean fingers to cleansed facial skin.
• Gently spread a small amount of the day cream over your face.
• The Glow is suitable as a makeup base. For the best result, make sure the light texture is well absorbed before you start applying makeup.
• Let yourself be inspired by The Glow ritual for your personal wow-glow:
• Self-Care Step 1: Consciously spread about a hazelnut-sized amount of cream in your clean palm.
• Self-Care Step 2: Take deep breaths in and out.
• Self-Care Step 3: Gently rub the cream between your palms. Focus your attention consciously on the light cream texture and enjoy the invigorating scent that The Glow emits.
• Self-Care Step 4: Spread the cream with gentle pressure from the center of your face outward. Be careful not to pull the delicate skin under your eyes! Massage a bit firmer from the chin to the jawline and from the bridge of the nose to the hairline. This promotes blood circulation in the deeper skin layers.
• During the facial massage, focus entirely on yourself and the signals from your body. Feel how The Glow merges with your skin.

Active Ingredients

• Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii (shea) nut butter) is extracted from the fruit of the karité tree. Shea butter has a long tradition as a care and healing agent. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and beta-carotene, the butter protects against environmental stress, binds moisture, fights free radicals, promotes cell regeneration, and makes skin and hair soft and supple.
• Camellia Seed Oil / Camellia Oil – This light oil is quickly absorbed by the skin, provides moisture, and reduces transepidermal water loss. It protects against oxidative stress and has anti-inflammatory effects. Ingredients like vitamin E and polyphenols are effective anti-aging agents that support cell regeneration and combat fine lines.
• Squalane or Squalane Oil (Squalane) is a light, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by the skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents oxidation of the skin’s own fats. This regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil.
• Blue Tansy / Blue Tansy (Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) Flower Oil) – Also known as Moroccan chamomile. The word “Tansy” comes from the Greek word “Athanaton” meaning “immortal” – Blue Tansy promotes cell regeneration. The healing properties of Blue Tansy are based on the azulene pigment, which gives it a striking blue color, soothes the skin, and reduces redness and inflammation. Blue Tansy smooths damaged capillaries and improves tissue firmness and elasticity.
• D-Panthenol (Provitamin B5) is very well tolerated, promotes wound healing, regeneration, and has anti-inflammatory effects. Panthenol improves the appearance and softness of skin and hair. It provides moisture and smoothing effects. Due to its small molecular size, it can penetrate deeply into cell tissue, retain moisture, and act as a provitamin.
• Zinc PCA (Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid) is a natural component of moisture retention in the skin and has strong antimicrobial and sebum-regulating properties. Zinc inhibits the activity of sebum-stimulating enzymes and can thus reduce excessive sebum production. The pronounced antibacterial effect combined with the ability to reduce sebum production makes it very suitable for acne and blemished skin. Additionally, Zinc PCA acts as an astringent, tightening pores and creating a smoother appearance.
• Cedarwood Oil (Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil) contains a variety of important ingredients for skin and hair. Vitamins A, B, D, E, and F, minerals such as potassium, iron, or magnesium, linoleic acid, and various amino acids. The essential oil promotes blood circulation, stimulates hair growth, and has skin-firming effects. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and soothes stressed scalp.
• Lactic Acid (Lactic Acid) is an alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates and can reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots. It also has the ability to shrink large pores and revive dull, uneven complexion.
• Hyaluronic Acid (Hyaluronic Acid / Sodium Hyaluronate) stores moisture up to 1000 times its weight. Hyaluronic acid is a main component of connective tissue, filling and supporting it. Due to its ability to bind large amounts of water, it is responsible for the skin’s moisture content. Hyaluronic acid also promotes skin firmness and elasticity. As we age, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid, which is one of the main causes of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid helps fill in fine lines and plump the skin.
