Shadow People by Heretic Parfum captures the quietly unsettling feeling of being watched – as though a figure stirs at the edge of your field of vision, only to disappear again when you look.
This tension defines the composition. It develops less like a classic fragrance story and more as a floating, unresolved atmosphere. Dust notes evoke rooms where much time has passed. Petrichor and geosmin introduce a cool, mineral moisture; the rare Plai rhizome provides a smooth, slightly metallic contrast.
A sharp breath of ice-cold citrus and aromatic air emerges from the darkness. As it develops, dark flowers and muted spice hover at the edge of perception. Oakmoss, mossy woods and ambered musk remain like traces in an empty corridor.

Heretic Parfum creates distinctive, gender-neutral fragrances with a botanical signature. Founder and perfumer Douglas Little combines botanical ingredients with selected modern fragrance molecules. The fragrances are made in small batches at the studio in Los Angeles and are designed to unfold individually with time, warmth and movement.

Shadow People is part of the GHOSTS Collection, a collaboration between Heretic Parfum and musician Chelsea Wolfe. The five fragrances in the collection – Spectral Grace, Ektoplasma, The Veil, Doppelgänger and Shadow People – explore themes of memory, perception and fleeting presence.
The fragrances in the collection are deliberately designed to be transparent and dynamic. Spectral musks, light woods, ghostly florals, and delicate animalic nuances emerge, recede, and appear again later.
Within the collection, Shadow People represents a presence perceived only at the edge of the field of vision. Dust, petrichor, and cold minerality translate this idea into a tension that never becomes threatening, but slightly displaced and unsettling is.

How to use
- Spray onto the insides of the wrists, behind the ears, along the sides of the neck, on the décolleté, or in the crooks of the arms as needed.
- Shadow People develops with heat and movement and can be reapplied throughout the day.

We carefully process and pack your order at our warehouse in Reutlingen. Orders are usually processed within 48 hours. Once your order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information. After handover to DHL, delivery within Germany usually takes 1–3 business days.
Shipping costs €4.95; orders over €60 ship free within Germany.
We ship international orders with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium, depending on the destination country and parcel size. Available shipping methods and costs are shown at checkout. Delivery times depend on the destination country, the selected shipping method, and customs processing.
Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we can provide a return label for €5.95 upon request. Returns from abroad must be arranged and paid for by the customer.
We carefully pack your order at our warehouse in Reutlingen. Our shipping boxes and greeting cards are made from recycled paper. We use packing peanuts made from cornstarch instead of Styrofoam as filler. Our paper-based packing tape can also be disposed of with waste paper.
