Active Ingredients

• Bakuchiol / Bakuchi Seed Oil (Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia) Seed Oil) is derived from the seeds and leaves of the Indian plant Psoralea Corylifolia and is considered a natural retinol alternative. A powerful plant for treating skin discoloration, hyperpigmentation, and leukoderma. With antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, Bakuchi promotes the skin’s natural tone and helps normalize individual skin pigmentation. Bakuchiol has been shown to stimulate collagen production, minimize wrinkles and lines, and improve skin texture and firmness. The ingredient has a long tradition as a medicinal plant in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Unlike traditional retinoids, it does not cause skin burning, irritation, or redness.
• Squalane or squalane oil (Squalane) is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents oxidation of the skin’s own fats. The regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil. For cosmetics, squalene is converted into squalane. Squalane contains no unsaturated compounds and is therefore oxidation-resistant and longer-lasting. Incidentally, squalane was originally obtained from shark liver, hence the name. Squalus is the Latin name for shark.
• Prickly Pear Oil (Opuntia Ficus-Indica Seed Oil) has a very high content of vitamin E, amino acids, antioxidants, and omega fatty acids. It combats dryness and helps the skin lock in its own natural oils. It strengthens the skin’s natural UV protection, absorbs quickly, and leaves the skin soft and supple.
• Raspberry Seed Oil / Extract (Rubus Idaeus Seed Oil / Extract) is a natural source of fatty acids. The high content of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids helps maintain skin elasticity and stimulates skin cell regeneration. The seed oil is also considered a natural UV protector and can absorb UVB rays (to a limited extent). Additionally, the fruit supports the skin’s self-healing abilities, fights inflammation, supports moisture supply, and protects the skin barrier.
• Castor Oil (Ricinus communis seed oil) consists largely of ricinoleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. The oil works against impurities, moisturizes, improves scar texture, and smooths the skin. Its high vitamin E content also helps fight free radicals and premature skin aging.
• The anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects of cinnamon (Cinnamomum (Cinnamon) Cassia Bark Extract) can help against impurities, pimples, and blackheads and refine pores. The spice’s anti-inflammatory properties are said to help relieve acne and redness and reduce excessive oil production. Cinnamon also contains vitamin C and is believed to combat premature skin aging and have a mild brightening and skin tone evening effect.
• Rice Bran Oil (Oryza sativa bran oil) is extracted from the fat- and vitamin-rich rice bran, which consists of the fruit wall and seed coat of the rice grain. The oil contains a lot of vitamin E and essential unsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids (linoleic acid, linolenic acid, myristic acid). It is a light, fast-absorbing oil that soothes irritated and dry skin conditions. The ingredient is also frequently used for sensitive or barrier-disturbed skin.
• Avocado (Persea gratissima oil / fruit extract) is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, proteins, copper, folic acid, and magnesium – all building blocks for healthy skin and hair. Due to its high phytosterol content, it spreads easily and absorbs quickly. It supports the skin’s moisture balance, protects it from drying out, and helps prevent wrinkles. In hair care, it adds shine, moisturizes dry, brittle, and damaged hair, strengthens it, and repairs damage.
