The Glow

The Glow is the signature product of This Place – a modern facial cream with zinc that transforms the idea of a classic zinc cream into a light, daily care product.

Instead of feeling pasty or drying, the formula combines Zinc PCA with hyaluronic acid, shea butter, camellia oil, panthenol, squalane, cinnamon bark, olive leaf, and plant terpenes. The cream is especially suitable for skin that quickly becomes irritated, red, or unsettled, tends to shine or break out, and still needs moisture. Its anti-inflammatory and balancing properties help soothe the skin sensation, make the complexion appear clearer, and keep the skin soft and well cared for.

• Zinc PCA combines zinc with PCA, a component of the skin’s natural moisture system. Zinc supports a more balanced complexion and is useful for skin that quickly shines, appears unsettled, or tends to break out. PCA complements this effect with moisture-retaining properties so the skin is cared for clearly and comfortably without drying out.
• Hyaluronic Acid binds water and helps the skin retain moisture better. This makes the skin appear plumper, smoother, and less dull. In The Glow, hyaluronic acid ensures the cream not only balances but also provides fresh moisture – a difference from classic zinc ointments, which are often dry and pasty.

This Place stands for functional natural cosmetics from Berlin. Application

• Apply morning and evening after cleansing to face, neck, and décolleté if needed. Take a small amount with clean fingers, spread between hands, and gently massage from the center of the face outward.
• The Glow is also suitable as a makeup base. Let the cream absorb briefly before applying foundation, concealer, or sunscreen. Use sunscreen in the morning afterward.

Active Ingredients

• Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii (shea) nut butter) is obtained from the fruit of the karité tree. Shea butter has a long tradition as a care and healing agent. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and beta-carotene, the butter protects against environmental stress, binds moisture, fights free radicals, promotes cell regeneration, and makes skin and hair soft and supple.
• Camellia Seed Oil / Camellia Oil – The light oil is quickly absorbed by the skin, provides moisture, and reduces transepidermal water loss. It protects against oxidative stress and has anti-inflammatory effects. Ingredients like vitamin E and polyphenols are effective anti-aging agents that support cell regeneration and combat fine lines.
• Squalane or squalane oil (Squalane) is a light, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents oxidation of the skin’s own fats. The regenerating oil prevents age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil.
• Blue Tansy / Blue Tansy (Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) Flower Oil) – Also known as Moroccan chamomile. The word “Tansy” comes from the Greek word “Athanaton” meaning “immortal” – Blue Tansy promotes cell regeneration. The healing properties of Blue Tansy are based on the azulene pigment, which gives it a striking blue color, soothes the skin, and reduces redness and inflammation. Blue Tansy smooths damaged capillaries and improves tissue firmness and elasticity.
• D-Panthenol (Provitamin B5) is very well tolerated, promotes wound healing, regeneration, and has anti-inflammatory effects. Panthenol improves the appearance and suppleness of skin and hair. It provides moisture and smoothing effects. Due to its small molecular size, it can penetrate deeply into cell tissue, store moisture, and act as a provitamin.
• Zinc PCA (Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid) is a natural component of moisture binding in the skin and has strong antimicrobial and sebum-regulating properties. Zinc inhibits the activity of sebum-stimulating enzymes and can thus reduce excessive sebum production. The pronounced antibacterial effect combined with the ability to reduce sebum production makes it very suitable for acne and impure skin. Additionally, Zinc PCA acts as an astringent, narrowing pores and creating a smoother appearance.
• Cedarwood Oil (Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil) contains a variety of important ingredients for skin and hair. Vitamins A, B, D, E, and F, minerals such as potassium, iron, or magnesium, linoleic acid, and various amino acids. The essential oil promotes blood circulation, stimulates hair growth, and has skin-tightening effects. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and soothes stressed scalp.
• Lactic Acid (Lactic Acid) is an alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates and can reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots. It also has the ability to shrink large pores and revive dull, uneven complexion.
• Hyaluronic Acid (Hyaluronic Acid / Sodium Hyaluronate) stores moisture up to 1000 times its weight. Hyaluronic acid is a main component of connective tissue, filling and supporting it. Due to its ability to bind large amounts of water, it is responsible for the skin’s moisture content. Hyaluronic acid also promotes skin firmness and elasticity. As we age, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid, which is one of the main causes of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid helps fill fine lines and plump the skin.
