ROOT REVIVAL is an intensively nourishing oil for the scalp, hairline, and lengths. Jojoba and moringa oils supply dry hair with lipids and help preserve softness and natural shine. Anima Mundi infuses nettle, horsetail, and rosemary in the oil—plants traditionally used especially for scalp care, strong hair, and vitality at the roots.

The oil is also ideal for scalp oiling before washing the hair: apply it directly to the dry scalp along the partings, massage it in, and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. At the same time, it can be distributed through the ends if the lengths feel dry, brittle, or dull. Vetiver gives the blend its warm, earthy fragrance and turns the application into a small, relaxing hair ritual.

Plants & Oils

Moringa Oil & Jojoba Oil
These two base oils care for the scalp and lengths with valuable lipids. Jojoba resembles the structure of natural sebum and spreads particularly pleasantly, while moringa gives dry, stressed hair softness, shine, and a more conditioned feel.
Nettle & Horsetail
Two classic plants in traditional hair care. Nettle contains a broad range of natural plant compounds, while horsetail is particularly known for its high content of silicon compounds. In hair oils, both have traditionally been used to care for the scalp and hair structure and to support strong hair.
Rosemary
Rosemary is one of the best-known plants for scalp care. In traditional hair rituals, it is used especially for a revitalizing scalp massage and to care for the hairline.
Vetiver & Vitamin E
Vetiver gives ROOT REVIVAL its deep, earthy, slightly smoky fragrance and makes scalp massage particularly pleasant. Vitamin E complements the oil blend as an antioxidant while also helping protect the botanical oils from oxidation.

How to Use

Ideally, use on dry hair before washing.
Divide the hair into several sections and apply a small amount of oil directly to the scalp.
Gently massage it in with your fingertips for several minutes using circular movements.
Then distribute as desired from the roots through the lengths and ends.
Leave on for at least 30 minutes. For more intensive care, the oil can also remain in the hair overnight.
Then rinse thoroughly and wash with shampoo; shampoo twice if needed.
Anima Mundi recommends using it 2–3 times a week.

Which hair types is ROOT REVIVAL suitable for?
Basically, all hair types. The oil is especially suitable for dry or care-needy scalps, brittle lengths, and hair that would benefit from more softness, shine, and intensive care.

Is ROOT REVIVAL primarily a scalp oil or a hair oil?
Both. The focus is on scalp massage and the hairline, but the oil can then be distributed through the lengths and ends.

Can the oil promote hair growth?
The formula contains rosemary, nettle, and horsetail, which have traditionally been used in connection with scalp vitality and strong hair. However, ROOT REVIVAL is primarily a cosmetic care oil and is not a treatment for hair loss.

How long should the oil be left on?
At least 30 minutes. For more intensive use, it can also be left on overnight and washed out the next morning.

Does ROOT REVIVAL weigh down fine hair?
For fine hair, I would start with a small amount and focus on the scalp. Since the oil is used before washing the hair, any excess product can then be washed out.

What does the hair oil smell like?
Herbal, warm, and distinctly earthy, with vetiver’s characteristic slightly smoky fragrance and aromatic rosemary notes.

As soon as your order has been handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking. After handover to DHL, the shipping time within Germany is usually 1–3 business days.

The shipping costs 4.95€; for orders over 60€, we offer free shipping within Germany.

International orders are shipped depending on the destination country and package size with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium. The available shipping methods and costs are shown at checkout. Shipping time depends on the destination country, chosen shipping method, and customs clearance.

Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we provide a return label for 5.95€ upon request. Returns from abroad must be organized and paid for by the customer.

We package carefully, lovingly, and environmentally friendly. The box, filling material, and greeting card are made from recycled paper, and even the packing tape can be disposed of in the paper recycling bin.
