Coucou Suzette was founded in 2016 by Parisian illustrator Juliette Mallet. What is cellulose acetate?
The combs and hair accessories by Coucou Suzette are made from high-quality cellulose acetate. Unlike conventional plastics or synthetic resins, this material is based on natural and renewable raw materials, such as plant-based components like the pulp of fruits and vegetables. When combined with acetic acid, cellulose acetate is created—a modern material made entirely from plant-based sources and free from animal-derived ingredients.
Cellulose acetate is considered a high-quality raw material for durable accessories. It stands out for its exceptional stability, durability, and pleasant feel. At the same time, the material conserves resources and is comparatively environmentally friendly, as it is derived from renewable, natural sources and helps ensure the products’ long service life.
We carefully process and pack your order at our warehouse in Reutlingen. Orders are usually processed within 48 hours. Once your order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information. After handover to DHL, delivery within Germany usually takes 1–3 business days.
Shipping costs €4.95; orders over €60 ship free within Germany.
We ship international orders with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium, depending on the destination country and parcel size. Available shipping methods and costs are shown at checkout. Delivery times depend on the destination country, the selected shipping method, and customs processing.
Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we can provide a return label for €5.95 upon request. Returns from abroad must be arranged and paid for by the customer.
We carefully pack your order at our warehouse in Reutlingen. Our shipping boxes and greeting cards are made from recycled paper. We use packing peanuts made from cornstarch instead of Styrofoam as filler. Our paper-based packing tape can also be disposed of with waste paper.
