The ODEN The Balm is made for skin that needs more protection and lipids: dry, rough, sensitive, or thrown out of balance by cold, dry air, and other external influences. The waterless formula combines linoleic acid-rich safflower and sunflower oils with beeswax, plum kernel oil, and three French herbal macerates.

Safflower oil supplements important lipids in the skin barrier and helps reduce moisture loss. Beeswax forms a fine protective film over the skin and makes the balm especially valuable when dry areas quickly start to feel tight again. The skin feels softer, calmer, and better protected.

Calendula, sage, and yarrow are gently macerated in plant oil. Calendula is particularly known for its soothing care of sensitive and stressed skin, while sage and yarrow add antioxidant and balancing botanical compounds. Plum kernel oil also provides softness and gives the balm a delicate natural scent.

The texture is rich, but melts between the hands and can therefore be applied very sparingly. Face, lips, dry nostrils, hands, elbows, or other rough areas - The Balm is an uncomplicated multipurpose balm for anywhere the skin needs additional protection.

Key active ingredients

• Safflower oil: French organic safflower oil from Gers is rich in linoleic acid, an essential omega-6 fatty acid and an important component of the skin barrier. It helps make dry and rough skin more supple and reduce moisture loss.
• Calendula, sage & yarrow: The three plants are processed as macerates in plant oil. Calendula soothes sensitive and stressed skin, sage adds skin-caring and antioxidant properties, and yarrow supports the balancing character of the herbal blend.
• Beeswax: Forms a soft, protective film on the skin, smooths rough areas, and slows water evaporation. This makes it especially beneficial for very dry skin or skin stressed by external influences.
• Plum kernel oil: Rich in unsaturated fatty acids and natural accompanying compounds, it leaves the skin soft and supple. At the same time, it gives the balm a subtle, warm natural scent.
• Sunflower oil & vitamin E: Sunflower oil adds linoleic acid to the formula and supports the lipid barrier. Vitamin E has antioxidant properties and also helps protect the valuable plant oils from oxidation.

How to use

• Warm a small amount between your fingertips or palms, then apply to the face or dry areas of skin.
• Used as the final step in your skincare routine, the balm forms a protective layer over serum, cream, or facial oil.
• It can be used morning and evening on very dry skin.
• For intensive care, apply a slightly more generous amount and leave it on as a balm mask.
• Also suitable for dry lips, hands, elbows, knees, and other rough areas of skin.
• Use within 6 months after opening.
