Key ingredients

• Indigo: The intensely blue-dark plant pigments form the color base of Black Coffee and give light brown to black hair a multifaceted espresso brown to deep black. They adhere to the hair's surface and provide rich color depth and brilliant shine.
• Acacia gum, tara & sunflower sprouts: Plant-based polysaccharides and extracts support the even distribution of the color pigments and form a fine, conditioning film around the hair fiber. The hair gains more texture, appears smoother, and becomes shinier and fuller.
• Tremella, marshmallow & konjac: Rich in water-binding polysaccharides, they help keep the hair fiber smooth during coloring. Dry or porous hair feels softer after application and is easier to comb.
• Spirulina: This microalga provides proteins, minerals, and plant compounds with antioxidant properties. It complements the intense color with conditioning benefits and supports hair that looks strong, healthy, and shiny.
• Olive leaf, neem, meadowsweet & basil: This plant complex provides antioxidant and skin-conditioning compounds and supports a pleasantly cared-for scalp and hair feel during plant-based coloring.

Application

• Before coloring, wash your hair thoroughly with a silicone-free shampoo. Do not use conditioner or hair treatment afterward so that the plant pigments can adhere optimally to the hair.
• Shake the color container vigorously before use so that the plant powders mix evenly.
• Use approximately 70 ml of water at about 40 °C per 25 g of color powder and stir in a non-metallic bowl to form a smooth, creamy paste.
• Apply the mixture promptly, section by section, to towel-dried hair.
• Depending on the desired color intensity, leave on for 45–90 minutes. Cover the hair with a coloring cap during the first half of the processing time and leave it uncovered during the second half.
• For root coloring, first color the roots and distribute the remaining mixture through the lengths and ends only about 15 minutes before the end of the processing time.
• Then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Do not use shampoo immediately afterward. If needed, finish with a silicone-free conditioner or hair mask.
• From approximately 20% white hair, NOELIE recommends pre-pigmentation with Honey Caramel Mix Blonde or Spicy Ginger for approximately 10–30 minutes before applying Black Coffee.
• Never use Black Coffee undiluted on blonde, bleached, or heavily chemically treated hair, as a green tinge may develop. If you are unsure about the starting condition, always color a test strand first.
• Use only on intact scalp, do not inhale powder dust, avoid contact with the eyes, and check that the mixed color is at a comfortable temperature before application.
