Blue Drops Calming Face Oil 30 ml

The award-winning Blue Drops Calming Face Oil is an unusually lightweight, sapphire-blue facial oil with Blue Tansy, Blue Yarrow, Jojoba, Kukui and Baobab oils. The water-free formula soothes irritated and visibly reddened skin, leaves it soft and supple, and is particularly suitable for normal, oily and blemish-prone skin thanks to its silky feel.

The intense color of Blue Drops comes from the azulene-rich oils of Blue Tansy and Blue Yarrow - not from added color pigments. The blue plant oils are known for their soothing properties and may help reduce the appearance of redness and irritation.

• Blue Tansy, also known as Moroccan chamomile, is known for its intensely blue essential oil. The name “Tansy” can be traced back to the Greek word athanasía, meaning “immortality.” Its exceptional color is mainly due to the azulene compound chamazulene, which forms during distillation. It is known for its antioxidant and soothing properties and may help irritated skin and visible redness appear more balanced
• Yarrow is a traditional European medicinal plant that was formerly also used as soldiers’ herb or wound herb to treat minor injuries. Its astringent, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties make it particularly interesting for reddened, oily and blemished skin. The Blue Yarrow contained in Blue Drops is also rich in chamazulene, which gives the oil its intense color and has a soothing and antioxidant effect.

Jojoba, Kukui and Baobab oils provide the nourishing base. The lightweight oil blend supplies the skin with valuable lipids, supports its natural protective barrier and reduces dry or rough-feeling skin without leaving a heavy film.

The highly concentrated, water-free formula absorbs well and gives the skin a soft, smooth and subtly radiant finish. The aromatic floral fragrance combines Ylang Ylang with the characteristic herbal nuances of the blue plant oils.

Blue Drops can be used on its own, mixed with a face cream or added drop by drop to foundation for a smoother finish. The RAAW Alchemy Cleansing Silk is suitable for cleansing beforehand. If the skin needs more protection and lipids, the Calming Blue Balm can be applied over it as the final skincare step.

Application

• Apply to cleansed skin in the morning and/or evening. Dispense a few drops between your fingertips and gently massage into the face, neck and décolleté.
• The dosage can be adjusted to your skin type:
• Oily skin: approximately 1 drop
• Combination skin: approximately 2 drops
• Dry skin: approximately 3 drops
• For easier application, the oil can be applied to slightly damp skin or mixed with a face cream. Allow it to absorb for approximately five to ten minutes before applying makeup.
• For a smoother and more radiant makeup finish, mix one or two drops with your foundation on the back of your hand.
• Avoid contact with the eyes.

Active ingredients

• Jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) - Its high fatty acid content makes the skin soft, supple and resilient. The oil has antibacterial properties, absorbs quickly and contains vitamins B and E, minerals and beta-carotene (provitamin A). It supports cell development and renewal, counteracts skin aging and strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier. Also very suitable for hair and scalp care. Incidentally, jojoba oil is technically not an oil but a plant wax.
• Kukui nut oil (Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui) Nut Oil) has been used as a beauty oil in Hawaii for centuries. The gentle, fast-absorbing oil contains linolenic acid, linoleic acid and vitamins A, C and E. It soothes skin irritation (e.g. eczema and psoriasis), provides moisture and strengthens the skin barrier.
• Baobab oil (Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil) is obtained from the seeds of the fruit of the African baobab tree. Baobab oil has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and moisturizing properties. It protects the skin’s natural barrier function, stimulates elastin and collagen production and makes the skin look plumper. Also known as the monkey bread tree, it belongs to the mallow family and is considered a characteristic symbol of the African savanna. The baobab tree can store water for a long period of time.
• Blue tansy (Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) Flower Oil) - Also known as Moroccan chamomile. The word “Tansy” comes from the Greek word “Athanaton” and means “immortal” - Blue Tansy promotes cell regeneration. The healing properties of Blue Tansy are based on the azulene pigment that gives it its striking blue color, soothes the skin and relieves redness and inflammation. Blue Tansy smooths damaged capillaries and improves tissue firmness and elasticity.
• Ylang Ylang translates as “flower of flowers,” which the plant presumably owes to its captivating fragrance. Ylang Ylang essential oil has balancing, antibacterial and antiseptic properties. It regulates sebum production and therefore moisturizes dry skin while mattifying oily skin. It is very suitable for combination skin or blemishes and promotes a healthier complexion over time. The oil is also said to have aphrodisiac properties.
• Vanilla belongs to the orchid family. Vanilla essential oil/extract (Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Oil/Extract) has strong antioxidant properties as well as anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties. In skincare, blemished or inflamed skin in particular benefits from these properties. The warm, soothing fragrance can lift the mood, release blockages and increase concentration. Vanilla is also said to have an eroticizing effect.
