How does Nuud work?

Nuud does not clog pores and does not cover anything up. Nuud is 100% fragrance-free and fights the true cause of sweat odor: bacteria. You only need a pea-sized amount of Nuud because it is super concentrated. This tiny amount keeps your underarms fresh for days.

So, what’s inside Nuud? The most important ingredient is microsilver, which naturally prevents smelly sweat without blocking pores or irritating the skin. Additionally, Nuud uses certified and natural products like squalane, castor oil, almond oil, and carnauba palm wax to hold the microsilver in place. It’s actually quite simple.

What is in Nuud?

• The number one super effective ingredient is Ecocert-certified microsilver. Silver has a natural antibacterial effect. It neutralizes bacteria and thus prevents sweat odor.
• The other ingredients are natural oils and waxes that care for and nourish the skin while keeping the microsilver exactly where it belongs – under your arms.

What makes Nuud unique?

Nuud is not a deodorant but a pre-deodorant – a regular deodorant masks the smell of sweat, whereas Nuud prevents the odor altogether. With Nuud, stink has no chance because the bacteria that cause the odor are naturally inhibited. In an antiperspirant, the active ingredient (aluminum) blocks the pores, and combined with fragrances, the odor is not prevented but only disguised.

Nuud works for several days after just one application – because Nuud is different and therefore works longer than regular deodorant, only a small amount is needed. Microsilver structurally reduces the bacterial population, meaning the smell of sweat no longer occurs. Nuud works for a minimum of 48 hours and up to 7 days. Besides the fact that you don’t have to use deodorant every day anymore, it also has the advantage of being gentler on your skin.

Nuud is applied directly to your skin – instead of smelling like your deodorant, Nuud lets you smell like yourself. Nuud contains no perfume, which means you can decide whether you want to smell like your natural scent, your favorite perfume, or aftershave! Nuud is much more concentrated than a regular deodorant – you use about 15 times less. This means 15 times less production, 15 times less transport, and 15 times less packaging waste. Usage

If you have been used to regular deodorants or antiperspirants for years, your body has adapted to their effects and application. Nuud works differently. You will probably need some time to get used to it. With our tips and tricks, you will quickly notice that Nuud is not only a carefree deodorant but also harmless and super effective.

Tip 1: Don’t apply too much Nuud.

Your small sample tube is not very big. But it lasts on average 6 to 7 weeks because Nuud is super concentrated. You only need a little bit each time! Wash your underarms with soap, dry them, and then rub a pea-sized amount of Nuud under each arm. But be careful not to use too much! We mean it when we say: Nuud is super concentrated and easy to use!

Tip 2: Discover your application frequency. Application frequency, exactly, because we can’t think of a better word. On average, Nuud is applied every 3 days. But everyone has their own rhythm, which requires a bit of experimenting. You can apply it, for example, every 2 days and then see what works best for you.

Tip 3: Fresh clothes.

Nuud neutralizes the bacteria responsible for sweat odor. Nuud does not mask the odor but prevents it. Nuud itself has no smell, so it’s important to make sure your clothes don’t carry old odors or bacteria. The underarms of your sweaters, T-shirts, and shirts should be thoroughly washed first (preferably with vinegar or alcohol, then treated with a hot iron) before you can start fresh and odorless!

Tip 4: Don’t be afraid of detoxing.

Sweating is important for your body. That’s why Nuud contains no salts that block your sweat glands. Regular deodorants often contain aluminum or baking powder, which block your pores. This causes your body to hold onto toxins because it can’t get rid of them. Nuud solves this problem for you! Naturally and odorlessly. Sometimes it initially intensifies your sweating and odor for a short time. This 'detox' effect stops when you use Nuud for a longer period. If you’re a bit unsure, try Nuud first on the weekend so you can test it in your own safe environment.

Does Nuud become more effective over time?

After long-term use of Nuud, fewer bacteria return, so you can apply less Nuud. So start by applying Nuud every 2 days and then test how long it works for you by adding an extra day between applications each time. This way you can find your personal balance. Of course, it would be wasteful to apply Nuud every 3 days if you only need it once a week. Vice versa, however, is also not recommended!

Silver comes in all shapes and sizes. Often silver solutions or silver particles are used that are so small they penetrate the skin surface (nanosilver).
