The bitter orange tree, also known as the Seville orange, belongs to the citrus family. With its white, aromatic blossoms and juicy oranges, this tree has long been known for its therapeutic and calming properties. Anne-Marie de la Trémoille, Princess of Nerola, a village near Rome, made Neroli essence famous in the 17th century when she perfumed her gloves, dresses, and baths with it.
