Both materials absorb the perfume and gradually release it into the room – without a flame or additional heat. A few drops of the included fragrance concentrate are all it takes to refresh the scent at any time and adjust its intensity to your liking.

Mad et Len is a French fragrance house that brings perfumery and traditional craftsmanship together in an unusual way. Experimental fragrance compositions inspired by primal scents, nature, and memories are created in its atelier in southern France. The materials and how they are processed are equally important to the brand. Whether blackened iron, lava stone, or plant-based resin, each material is allowed to show its own character. Amber or Lava?

The choice between Amber and Lava is primarily a matter of material and aesthetics. Both versions are available with the same Graphite fragrance composition and can be refreshed with the included perfume concentrate.

Lava accentuates Graphite’s dry, mineral character with its black, porous volcanic stones. The stones’ rough texture harmonizes beautifully with the heavy, blackened iron vessel. A restrained, almost sculptural combination.

Amber is made from plant-based resin. The irregular pieces of resin give the potpourri a warmer, more organic look and create an appealing contrast with the dark iron. Please note: Amber refers here to the fragrance carrier, not to the Ambre Nobile fragrance.

Both materials absorb the fragrance concentrate and release it into the room slowly and for a long time. Their different properties can lead to slight variations in how the fragrance develops: Graphite may come through somewhat more immediately with the porous lava stones, while the fragrance tends to unfold more gently and evenly through the plant-based amber resin. For both versions, the intensity can be adjusted to your liking with the included fragrance concentrate.

Handcrafted iron vessel

We find the way the vessels are made to be very fitting for the brand. They are hand-finished and blackened. Mad et Len uses iron from recycling streams for this purpose, which sometimes still bears traces of its previous use. Small nicks, irregularities, and even stamped letters and numbers are deliberately left in place. This makes each vessel a one-of-a-kind piece with its own story.

Directions

• Apply a few drops of the included fragrance concentrate to the lava stones or amber resin.
• Place the fragrance carrier in the open iron vessel so that Graphite gradually diffuses throughout the room.
• The fragrance intensity can be adjusted by changing the amount of concentrate and by opening or closing the lid.
• When the fragrance intensity fades, add a few drops to the fragrance carrier as needed.
• Do not apply the fragrance concentrate directly to furniture, textiles, or delicate surfaces.
