The Nourishing Lip Balm by TEAM DR JOSEPH intensely nourishes dry, rough, and chapped lips while protecting the delicate lip skin from moisture loss and external influences.

The water-free formula is based on castor oil, shea butter, phyto-squalane, as well as olive, argan, jojoba, macadamia, almond, and avocado oils. Plant-based waxes form a fine protective film and help preserve the moisture already present in the lip skin. Vitamin E, brown algae, and hops extracts complement the formula with antioxidant and soothing properties.

Despite its rich composition, the solid balm feels smooth and silky without being unpleasantly sticky. It can be used whenever needed and is also very suitable as a nourishing base under lipstick.

Key active ingredients

Castor oil, shea butter & phyto-squalane – Form the balm's rich nourishing base. They smooth rough lips, reduce moisture loss, and support the natural protective barrier of delicate lip skin.
Jojoba, argan & macadamia oils – These plant-based lipids make chapped lips supple again and help maintain a soft, cared-for condition. Almond, avocado, and olive oils complement the formula with additional skin-nourishing fatty acids.
Vitamin E, brown algae & hops – Vitamin E protects the plant oils used in the formula and also has antioxidant properties. Laminaria brown algae and hops extract complement the rich lipid care with soothing and protective plant compounds.

How to use

Apply to the lips as needed.
Use several times a day on dry or chapped lips.
Especially beneficial in cold weather, wind, and dry heated air.
Can be applied as a nourishing base before lip makeup.
Apply a slightly richer layer in the evening to very dry lips.

What type of lips is the Nourishing Lip Balm suitable for?
The balm is suitable for all skin types, especially dry, rough, or chapped lips. Since the current formula contains neither added fragrance nor essential oils, it is also a good option for sensitive lips.

Is the lip balm very sticky?
No. Despite its rich oil and wax base, TEAM DR JOSEPH describes the finish as silky and non-sticky. The balm forms a nourishing protective film without feeling unpleasantly heavy on the lips.

Does the Nourishing Lip Balm contain fragrance or essential oils?
The current INCI list contains neither fragrance nor essential oils. The focus is entirely on plant oils, waxes, squalane, and other nourishing ingredients.

Can I use the Lip Balm under lipstick?
Yes. TEAM DR JOSEPH explicitly recommends it as a nourishing base under lipstick. If applying a very rich layer, allow it to absorb briefly or gently blot off any excess balm before applying lip makeup.

What is phyto-squalane?
Squalane is a highly skin-compatible lipid that integrates well into the skin's natural lipid film. In the lip balm, it helps keep lips supple and reduce moisture loss.

We carefully process and package your order in our warehouse in Reutlingen. Processing usually takes within 48 hours. As soon as your order has been handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking. After handover to DHL, the shipping time within Germany is usually 1–3 business days.

The shipping costs 4.95€; for orders over 60€, we offer free shipping within Germany.

International orders are shipped depending on the destination country and package size with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium. The available shipping methods and costs are shown at checkout. Shipping time depends on the destination country, chosen shipping method, and customs clearance.

Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we provide a return label for 5.95€ upon request. Returns from abroad must be organized and paid for by the customer.

We package carefully, lovingly, and environmentally friendly. The box, filling material, and greeting card are made from recycled paper, and even the packing tape can be disposed of in the paper recycling bin.
