Three low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acids, red algae, and naturally occurring gluconic acid (from Naturallogic’s homemade, seasonal red wine) are the main players in moisture supply, while coconut water provides minerals and vitamin B3 strengthens the skin’s protective barrier.

Application

• After cleansing, rub 1-2 pumps between the palms and gently press into the skin. Don’t forget the neck and décolleté.
• Then apply a serum, facial oil, or moisturizer of your choice.
  

Active Ingredients

• Red algae extract can sustainably hydrate the skin thanks to its polysaccharide structure. Red algae is also known for being very skin-friendly and promotes a smooth complexion. Uneven skin can become noticeably smoother and the complexion visibly finer. The algae supports cell renewal and increases elasticity.
• Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Extract) – Witch hazel leaf extract is made from the leaves and bark of the shrub. It helps remove excess oil, is anti-inflammatory, and balances the skin’s pH. Known to reduce acne and tighten the skin. Natural healing properties for a clearer complexion.
• Hyaluronic Acid (Hyaluronic Acid / Sodium Hyaluronate) retains moisture up to 1000 times its weight. Hyaluronic acid is a main component of connective tissue, filling and supporting it. Due to its ability to bind large amounts of water, it is responsible for the skin’s moisture content. Hyaluronic acid also promotes skin firmness and elasticity. As we age, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid, which is a main cause of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid helps fill fine lines and plump the skin.
• Probiotics – Our skin hosts over 500 types of bacteria. Similar to our gut flora, they maintain the balance of our skin microbiome, the living protective layer of the skin. The “good” bacteria feed on fats, salts, and dead skin cells, providing natural protection for our skin. The best-known probiotics are lactobacilli (lactic acid bacteria), which are usually included in cosmetics in creams or serums to help the skin regenerate and become more resilient.
• D-Panthenol (Provitamin B5) is very well tolerated, promotes wound healing, regeneration, and reduces inflammation. Panthenol improves the appearance and smoothness of skin and hair. It moisturizes and smooths. Due to its small molecular size, it can penetrate deeply into cell tissue, retain moisture, and act as a provitamin.
• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) – supports the synthesis of lipids and ceramides essential for the skin’s barrier function. It improves skin texture and evens out uneven skin tone. The vitamins also help with hyperpigmentation and redness. Niacinamide can regulate sebum production and reduce overproduction. This makes pores appear smaller and less “stretched.” Due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, niacinamide can also positively influence inflammation and moderate acne.
• Coconut water hydrates hair and scalp and provides nutrients. Besides minerals, vitamins, and trace elements, coconut water also contains protein that strengthens hair follicles and supports healthy hair growth. For dry scalp prone to dandruff and itching, coconut water can help due to its antibacterial and antifungal effects.
• Squalane or squalane oil (Squalane) is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents oxidation of the skin’s natural fats. This regenerating oil prevents age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil. For cosmetics, squalene is converted into squalane. Squalane contains no unsaturated compounds and is therefore oxidation-resistant and longer-lasting. By the way, squalane was originally obtained from shark liver, hence the name. Squalus is the Latin name for shark.
