The Fig Tree Hair Claw by Coucou Suzette is a small tribute to the fig tree: to shady spots beneath its large leaves, childhood days spent outdoors, and ripe figs discovered along the roadside during a walk. The design captures this mood – with expansive green fig leaves, fruit in burgundy and aubergine, and a sliced fig in the center. Fine, hand-applied golden details make the whole piece shimmer.

With its XL size and large teeth, the hair claw is made for long, thick and curly hair. It holds a lot of hair at once and keeps both a large bun and a half-up hairstyle securely in place. And when it is not in your hair, Coucou Suzette says it also looks rather good hanging from the handle of a bag. One of those hair claws where functionality and playful design come together particularly beautifully.

Coucou Suzette was founded by Parisian illustrator Juliette Mallet and is known for accessories that translate nature, animals, food and little everyday memories into playful designs. Pieces like this fig tree claw beautifully show how much of a story can be contained in a hair accessory.

What is cellulose acetate?

Cellulose acetate is a plant-based and more sustainable alternative to conventional petroleum-based plastic. It starts with natural cellulose, which is processed into a robust and durable material. It is particularly well suited to hair accessories: it is hard-wearing, pleasantly lightweight and enables the characteristic colors, shimmering effects and individual grains of Coucou Suzette designs. Cellulose acetate is also already classified accordingly in your existing Coucou Suzette collection as a more sustainable, plant-based alternative to conventional plastic.

We carefully process and package your order in our warehouse in Reutlingen. Processing usually takes within 48 hours. As soon as your order has been handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking. After handover to DHL, the shipping time within Germany is usually 1–3 business days.

The shipping costs 4.95€; for orders over 60€, we offer free shipping within Germany.

International orders are shipped depending on the destination country and package size with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium. The available shipping methods and costs are shown at checkout. Shipping time depends on the destination country, chosen shipping method, and customs clearance.

Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we provide a return label for 5.95€ upon request. Returns from abroad must be organized and paid for by the customer.

We package carefully, lovingly, and environmentally friendly. The box, filling material, and greeting card are made from recycled paper, and even the packing tape can be disposed of in the paper recycling bin.
