The Ionic Dry Brush

The ruhi Ionic Dry Brush is an oval copper body brush. The ultra-fine copper bristles generate new energy in the form of negative ions. The ions energize the skin, fight free radicals, make the skin glow, and provide an intense freshness boost.

Why brush with copper bristles?

Dry brushing is an ancient Ayurvedic healing method that offers numerous positive effects for well-being and health. Copper bristles provide additional benefits:

Positively charged particles, also called positive ions, block the energy supply to the body from outside. Negatively charged particles, also called anions, can restore energy balance. The fine bronze wires of the Ionic Dry Brush generate these negatively charged particles directly on the skin through friction. This ruhi body brush is made of ultra-fine copper wires, 100% natural bristles, and oiled, regional beech wood from responsibly managed forests. The brush is sustainably and traditionally made in Germany.

The Ritual

Already in the Middle Ages, monks and nuns used the energizing effect of copper bristles. They used it to combat fatigue and even pain. That is why the copper brush is often called a monastery brush.

Usage

• Preparation: Always use the Ionic Dry Brush on dry skin, ideally in the morning before showering. Start the dry brushing massage on the body parts farthest from the heart. Slowly work your way toward the center of the body with light, even brushing strokes.
• Repeat the following steps 3–5 times each. A slight metallic smell may appear on the skin immediately after brushing but will fade quickly. Just three minutes of dry brushing a day are enough to boost your energy level.
• Legs: Start the massage at the feet and brush upward toward the lower legs. From there, continue to the thighs and up to the buttocks.
• Arms: Start on the back of the hands and brush upward along the arms to the shoulders.
• Abdomen & Back: Brush the abdomen in circular clockwise motions following the path of the intestines. Then massage the back in circular motions over the sides.
• Done! Now shower to remove dead skin flakes. Then apply your favorite body oil and enjoy the new energy and silky-soft skin.

• Cleaning: Stroke the bristles several times with your hand and tap the Ionic Dry Brush on a hard, flat surface after each use. The brush is not suitable for cleaning with water. Store the brush in a dry place.
• Note:
• The brush is not suitable for use with water, as the copper can oxidize. Always use on dry skin.
• If you have a tin or copper allergy, do not use the brush.
