Antibacterial Korean rice wine and skin-soothing rice bran form the basis of the Rice Wine Facial Soap from Binu. What makes this handmade facial soap special is the inclusion of gently exfoliating rice pieces and fermented Korean rice wine (makgeolli).

Due to its low alcohol content of 6–8%, makgeolli has a clarifying effect on the skin. It also supplies the skin with vitamins B and C as well as valuable Lactobacillus bacteria.

The Rice Wine Facial Soap reliably removes makeup, dirt, and excess sebum from the skin without drying it out. Glycerin and selected plant oils ensure that no feeling of tightness occurs during or after cleansing.

How to use

• Ideal for daily facial cleansing.
• Lather the soap well and wash the face with the foam.
• Then rinse the face thoroughly with lukewarm water.
• Avoid contact with the eyes.
• The soap is also suitable for cleansing the body and as a shaving soap.
• Continue your facial care routine with a serum, a natural facial oil, moisturizer, a care product for the eyes, lip care or night care .

Active ingredients

• Sunflower oil is obtained from the seeds of the flower. The oil has a high linoleic acid content and is a lightweight, gently nourishing oil. Sunflower oil is one of our BINU base oils.
• Olive oil was used in ancient Greece to care for dry skin. It is considered to promote circulation and have an invigorating effect. Olive oil has a high oleic acid content, which provides protective and moisturizing benefits. The oil leaves a light film and is gradually absorbed by the skin. It is therefore ideal for dry and rough skin. Olive oil is one of our base oils for soap production.
• Shea butter is obtained from the nut of the shea tree. This rich butter nourishes the skin through its replenishing, soothing, and smoothing properties. It is therefore recommended for dry and stressed skin. Shea butter provides consistency for the mild Binu soaps.
• For the production of our natural soaps, we use particularly pure hinoki water, the aqueous solution of the steam distillate from hinoki wood. This Japanese cypress species is rich in phytoncides. Plants produce these substances to keep pathogens and pests at bay. These antimicrobial active ingredients can also be highly beneficial to the skin’s protective system.

• Rice bran oil (Oryza sativa bran oil) is obtained from nutrient- and vitamin-rich rice bran, which consists of the rice grain’s pericarp and seed coat. The oil contains plenty of vitamin E and essential unsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids (linoleic acid, linolenic acid, myristic acid). It is a lightweight, fast-absorbing oil that has a soothing effect on irritated and dry skin. It is also frequently used for sensitive or barrier-impaired skin.
• Rice extract (Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract) – Rice contains high levels of antioxidants, polysaccharides, omega-3 fatty acids, and micronutrients. Rice extract can refine the appearance of pores and revitalize the skin. It has a clarifying and anti-inflammatory effect, soothes the skin, and reduces irritation.
